Zurich/Beijing – A group of Swiss SMEs is working together to promote sustainable spatial planning and construction in China. To support their work, they set up the Swiss Green Buildings Association under the presidency of former ETH professor Bruno Keller.

Spatial planning and construction in Switzerland are characterized by high sustainability standards. In markets such as China, there is demand for companies with these skills – but many Swiss businesses in the sector are too small to successfully export their services. This is why a group of SMEs formed the Swiss Green Buildings Association (SGB). Among the companies are BelimoSchenker StorenV-Zug and Zehnder.

The aim of the association is to bring Swiss quality and standards to urban planning and construction in China – and to give its members greater opportunities to secure contracts in the People’s Republic.

President of the Association is Bruno Keller. Also President of the Board of Keller Technologies AG, Keller was Professor of Building Physics at the Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich (ETH) from 1991 to 2007. Founded in 2002, Keller Technologies is headquartered in Zug and has an office in Beijing, where it provides solutions for low-energy buildings in China. The administrative office of the association is managed by LEP Consultants AG, an ETH-spinoff specialized in sustainable spatial planning in Switzerland and China.
