Zurich – The construction sector now uses around half of the world’s raw materials, giving it a key role to play in improving resource efficiency. The Circular Hub knowledge and networking platform will offer a master class on the circular future of the construction sector this autumn.

The construction sector is a major consumer of raw materials. In order to conserve resources and maintain the quality of life in Swiss cities, the sector needs to rethink its approach, according to Circular Hub.

To help make this happen, the knowledge and networking platform will offer architects, planners and building specialists a master class on this topic. Participants will gain basic knowledge about circular business models and design strategies. They will also work together to develop concrete examples of use and measures needed for the circular future of the construction sector.

The one-day master class will take place on 10 September in Zurich and will be led by Jim Steenbakker. As the co-founder of Boom! Innovatie, Steenbakker developed the Canvas circular business model and regularly gives seminars on the circular economy in the construction industry.
