Kunming and Swiss Embassy sign SSLCC project agreement

June 2017, Kunming - Kunming is one of 6 Chinese best practice cities within the Sino-Swiss Low Carbon Cities project (SSLCC), funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC). LEP is involved in this project as consultancy for low carbon oriented urban and environmental planning as well as coordinator for all project activities in Kunming; strongly linked to the technical cooperation of the city partnership Zurich-Kunming.

On June 22, 2017, Mr. Alain Gaschen, Minister and Deputy Head of Mission of the Swiss Embassy in Beijing, and Ms. Yang Zhihua, Director General of Kunming Foreign Affairs Office, signed the SSLCC Project Agreement in Kunming as first of 6 cities. In the same week project activities in the sectors of metropolitan urban and transport planning, urban infrastructure and industrial heritage started. Several workshops were carried out with the technical expert teams from Zurich and Kunming.
